p.s. why are you all debating anything as stupid as intentionally diving with different mix and a closed isolator? now i feel sorry for bringing up the whole closed isolator issue to begin with...
My Apologies...It started with a silly answer to a stupid question...and then took on a new life from there.

i was pleasantly surprised the other day to analyze one of my tanks and find it full of EAN32, when i thought it only had air in it... felt almost like getting a christmas present in the middle of summer...

WHAT!!!!! You dive air? I am in shock ;)

Oh yeah, unless you're a certified gas blender you can't dive with different mixes in your tanks either.

the junk occasionally creeps into my tanks when I'm not watching. happens less and less often these days...

Recreational doubles work out pretty well as long as you keep them small. Double AL80s is about as big as you would want to go. I have a set of them and two sets of steel 72s.

They beat the heck out of a 131 single in my opinion.

Unless you intend to dive really shallow, a nitrox cert will probably be needed to get the most out of them.

double al 80's was my plan. a lot of my buds are not nitrox certified so it will be useless prolonging my bottom time if we all go up the ame time.

I just re-read this post ....

... only way to keep them seperated is to keep the isolator valve closed.

There goes my idea.

I'll just shut my mouth and go back to my single tank. (Not that I ever left it.)

I thought it was funny as heck... and I need good laugh right now.

Geesh -- some people can't take a joke it seems.

He could of just been having a bad day. Personally, I couldn't help but laugh that it even continued at all.

Some things just make you go hmmmmmmmm ;)
