Hey JB! Ryan and myself just bought our doubles sets at the same time. We are taking a tech class so we need to get up to speed before the checkout dives. Mike R at the west side DSI store is a tech diver/instructor and can help you configure your setup, that's where I bought mine. They have DIve Rite tech products in stock. Call him and I bet he will help you out, he loves to teach and is great at it. Mike even has an extra set of doubles that he might loan out if you are really nice, or buy him some beer! Take a couple hours and head to the store on a Monday, Tuesday or Friday and you will have a great opportunity to pick his brain.
There are several club members who dive doubles exclusively. I bet Mike T will be more than willing to show you his setup and explain the mechanics before you jump in and play turtle a while. He will be at NSR this weekend if you are going(I will not-sinus infection). There are quite a few of us starting tech training here real soon so you are more than welcome to join us on our venture into tech diving. The dive club has been a great resource for all types of diving info. I'm hoping I will be able to make it to the meeting to finally meet you in person.
