Donsol/ Ticao - Is Feb too early for Whalesharks/ Mantas?

Think I need to get back to the PI for Chinese New Year in Feb. Is that too early for the Donsol whale sharks season? How about mantas at Ticao?

I have a group of 19 students from a local christian school going through OWD-classes with us right now. In February they're all going to the Philippines for 4 weeks, without me!

Now since most of them are 19 year old girls, some will likely make it to THAT's what's so bothering.

Seriously Pak, I think Feb is ok, I went in late feb last year, there were plenty of Whale Sharks. Did not see a Manta, but the DM told me they were there a few weeks before.
