Has anyone stayed at this resort? I've read some very nice things about it, but mainly from non-divers.

Wondering how far it is from some of the southern island dive operators such as Nature Island Dive and Dive Dominica....and whether going back and forth during a week of diving would be doable.

Thanks :)

Chris

I'm not sure where that even is, but there is a northern dive operator....Sunset House I think??

The direct route from Jungle Bay to the nearest diving at Soufrierre encompasses the twistiest route on the island -- lots of slow vertical as well as horizontal challenges -- and takes quite a while. Driving the more level route is much longer. The resort is located in a spectacular area -- close to several big waterfalls, hot springs and beautiful coastline -- which makes it great for day hikes and land exploration. However, I wouldn't recommend it as a base for a dive vacation.

FWIW. When I was in Dominica in June there was a small group one day from Jungle Bay diving with us at Nature Island Dive. They were just diving for one day of their trip which was for a wedding on the Island.

If my memory serves me correctly Jungle Bay is on the way to Trafalgar and would be a good 45min-1hr drive to Nature Island Dive. Too much for every day in my opinion but hey, the diving is fantastic.
