DIVING and Adventure In Dominica
Not to be confused with the Dominican Republic. Dominica lies just below Guadeloupe and above Martinique. Dominica has earned the reputation as one of the top five dive destinations in the world. Dominica's reefs are full of gorgeous multi-colored hard and soft coral, an abundance of reef fish and fascinating marine critters such as seahorses and frogfish. Dominica has recently been called the Whale Watching Capital of the Caribbean. Its unique underwater terrain and coastal structure make Dominica an ideal environment to watch Sperm Whales socialize. Included in the trip--an Eco Tour: From the Lodge, we drive through the BOTANICAL GARDENS, taking us in beautiful mountain ranges, cocoa plantations, local grown orchids and several varieties of bromeliad, then off to the FRESHWATER LAKE - one of this island's two crater lakes within the MORNE TROIS PITON NATIONAL PARK. *There is a sound of gushing water everywhere.* We will then drive on to the village of Laudat for a 15 min hike up the bed of a river to the area filmed in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN - TITOU GORGE.*
