I also must admit that this is the most entertainment I've had on SB for a while. Who would have thought that a conman would insult an avatar? Really? I'm wrecked emotionally because Herr Betrüger is insulting a fat version of "Paul" Newman.

But there has also been some very good info on domain values. I manage a few websites and have never tried the 'netvaluator' thing. It was very interesting to run some of my domains on it.

My advancedundersea dot com has increased in value almost fifteen fold since I registered it many years ago. It's been increasing in value a few dollars every year. In 185 years, I can buy a new set of tires for the car. It also says the income from the site is about .80 cents a day but I don't know who's getting that. Also, every one of my sites was rated 'Poor' for 'child safety'. Not sure what's up with that but it's probably for the best anyway.

It is possible that someone could come up with a domain name that is so striking, so compelling and appealing that it would have some desirability or dollar value just because it was so cool even though it has no stats or history. If it was unique enough, there could be some kind of bidding war.
I have a poetry anthology available at pooplets dot com. Now who would have guessed that such a cool domain name like 'pooplets' wasn't already registered. There are clearly still awesome domain names available.

Even some of the really cool names that are already registered command very little value. Like a grade school kid with an unabridged dictionary, I had to look up some dirty words. Check out the value of b*tth*le dot com. $9.95.
Imagine that you could own a name that iconic for less than $10!

Whoa. I think we can all agree that he has officially lost it.

It also says the income from the site is about .80 cents a day but I don't know who's getting that. Also, every one of my sites was rated 'Poor' for 'child safety'.

The tool is really inaccurate. The $/day is based on estimated traffic, which, when I compare to all the sites I have access to Google Analytics on is laughably far off. The tool also had all of my sites as poor for child safety despite Web of Trust (WOT) saying the opposite.
