This one?Actually sometimes called sharp tail eel, usually dark brown body with white spots. At least that is what I have seen in Cozumel, thus the name "white spotted" eel.
That’s a spotted moray. Their coloration varies. Some have black spots on a light background, others look like your picture. Here’s a link to a description of the sharp tail eel, with some pictures. The Sharptail Eel - Whats That Fish! They look more like snakes.This one?

We were diving the north side yesterday. I think that was on an unnamed reef between Eagle Ray Wall and Villa Blanca Wall.
