I have seen dolphins in the water but usually they are pretty far away. Today Flipper decided to come take a better look at me...they are AWESOME to watch in the water in the wild! It was a good day - also 2 eagle rays on the wall (wrong settings and photo wasn't great), a sea horse, a few turtles, and some little critters that I like to shoot...

I had to turn upside down for that one as I recall...

Very nice.

Can you speak a little about the photographic techniques and equipment that you used?

I am considering moving up from my GoPro type setup and am curious about what is involved to capture such images.

I have been through a lot of cameras and am currently shooting with an Olympus OM5II (or something like that) in a Nauticam housing. I have a 12-50 Olympus lens in a Nauticam port which allows me to easily switch between wide angle and macro. I used the wide angle for the dolphin and macro for the sea horse. Then I have a nauticam flip dipoter attached to the housing which I used for the blennies, the flamingo tongue, the shrimp and the Christmas Tree worms. And one Sea and Sea YS-01 strobe. I plan to get another strobe which would have probably improved my dolphin photo had I had one...

Thank-you.

I suppose that you adjusting the various camera settings manually. Can you talk a little about this. Do you have to change settings often? How much time does it take you to set up for a shot? Are there settings that you can use generally for medium or close up shots? I have often heard of calibrating white balance. Do you do this?
