Hi folks,

Just wondering if anybody out there has stayed at Dolphin Bay Divers Retreat on the eastern tip of Vanua Levu, just over the water from Taveuni. I'd like to know what you thought of the place and if they have decent equipment. I can't seem to find out much about this place on the web.

Thanks,
Rhett.

Anyone have anything to report by now on this place? It's on Vanua Levu, across from Taveuni.

Hi: Yes, we work with this retreat. The accommodations are very basic but extremely affordable....very remote location, but very beautiful with lots on interaction with the local village. I would classify the accommodations as just slightly better than backpacker. They do have some bures close to the beach. They have a meal package that is the equivalent of $30 U.S. per day for 3 meals. This is necessary because there isn't much else in the area. The dive boat is actually very nice and the locations they dive are great because they can dive both the Vanua Levu dive sites and the Somosomo Straights sites. If you are interested in this retreat just email and I can provide some photos, rates and some discounted airfares to Savusavu from Nadi.

Thanks,
Mary Jane
