In my experience, she's actually a DIVER ... one of the better ones I've ever dived with, in fact.

I Agree! I truely enjoy diving with Snowbear ( and NOT just because of the Boston Whaler ;) ).
It's a pleasure to be able to ( 'relax' isn't quite the right word but it'll do ), knowing that I don't Have to do the 'work' for both. I've never been able to do that with most other divers.

I've always found it odd that those who complain the loudest about "the cult" use the exact same tactics to put down those they perceive as members. It's such a waste of energy ...

I'm Sure you feel that way - not that you're correct, just that you feel that way.

And FWIW - when I graduated Fundamentals, one of my DIR-trained friends presented me with a package of Kool-Aid (grape flavor). It's still in my pantry, awaiting another friend's "graduation ceremony" ... ;)

Oh dir.

Halcyon is the way to go!! Best DIR kit there is. I would definately choose the Eclipse over the pioneer, a lot more durable. With regards to regs I would probably opt for the Scubapro Mk25 and S550 second stage.
