Hi all,

This is kind of a long shot, but does anyone have recommendations for places to board a dog in Key Largo? I am looking at Pet Motel but I can't find any reviews online. We will be down there in May for Dry Tortugas camping and Key Largo diving.

Thanks!

Here's an old post I found. You can send DebbyDiver a PM for more info.

Hey kids, sorry I haven't checked back in here lately. Carmen, Classy Canine Pet Motel ROCKS. I know nothing about their catsitting but my doggies LOVE LOVE LOVE them. Tell them "Debby with Barkley the Cavalier and Sweet Pea the Tard" sent you. BUT I don't board my cats. I have Monika from Dogs Go Walking for catsitting. I also have a private catsitter who rocks but she only serves Hollywood and Dania Beach...I forget where you live but if it's one of those, PM me for her contact info.

DiveInFlorida, you might not find a dog friendly condo. I didn't want my dogs lonely and barking during the day so I use Classy Canine, above, for doggy daycare.

ARE WE THERE YET??? :D

brand new boarding facility for dogs and cats, excellent staff and highly reguarded(island hammock animal hospital). i board my cats there whenever i travel. the pet motel(more geared for canines than felines) has a good reputation here in key largo, however, i prefer to board with a vet on the staff especially when traveling overseas,,,,,,,,,,,

Thanks to you both. I'm glad pet motel has a good reputation. I find that vet clinics may keep them in cages more of the time, but there are certainly advantages as well. I will keep Island Hammock in mind.
