I have a tub I got back before OMS was acquired and the tube has an 'expires' date in February 2017. Of course, it has been kept at a relatively constant temperature and there is no discoloration.

I can't imagine why it would age-out, but it never hurts to ask. . .

It separates into a slightly thicker toothpaste white fraction and a clear liquid fraction. Kneed the tube thoroughly and you can sort of mix it back together. I use mine without worrying about the date on the tube and it seems to do the job.

BTW perfluoropolyethers (Chrsitolube is a type of PFPE) are considered to be "forever" chemicals. They don't break down at all.

Exactly what a tribologist once told me.

In my experience it kind of separates into to curds and whey. Maybe that can be mixed back up again given the right equipment. Given my rather modest needs I just buy new on ebay.
