You really need to build trust with the operator to dive Verde Island and to have >60 min dives. They need to know your abilities and SAC rates and that takes time. I dove with a guy on a rebreather, when we went up for the surface interval, he stayed down, and came back up when we were ready to move to the next site. The currents can be wicked at Verde and the guides like to make sure you are safe. I dove with Scandi and had perfect trust with the DM's with our safety. Plus we had enough people in our group to fill the boat. It was not just one person wanting to empty a tank.
