Yes -- astute board members may recall that this exact same question was posted on ScubaBoard in 2001. Nobody seemed to have a definite answer then, so I figured it couldn't hurt to ask again.
Fred Garth was the owner/publisher of a great little magazine called Scuba Times back in the 1990s. He sold it to Skin Diver, worked with them for a while, then helped start the original Fathoms. I lost track of him after that.
At any rate, if anyone knows Fred and what he's up to these days, please let him know I'd like to hear from him when he has the time.
