Still shopping around for a BCD. I'm not in too big a hurry. I've done a few bids on ebay, quit when I thought things were getting overpriced for a used/discontinued BCD. Looked at alot of online stores. Still considering a couple of BCDs that are being sold by a nameless SB member (hello Bob ;)) . Still thinking about one model at my LDS. Wondering if I can afford to splurge for the initial startup costs of a BP/Wing. yada, yada, yada

But during my ebay browsing a company called Triple-L (http://www.triple-l.biz/) , made me curious. Their products are pretty inexpensive. I've read a couple of reviews (at Dive Oz), but I would never gamble on such a purchase without alot more information. Their prices make them very attractive, but it seems far too good to be true. So, what does anyone know about Triple-L and their BCDs?

Thanks for any feedback

Tom

Scubaroo:
Triple-L BCs are also made in Taiwan.
Triple-L BCDs are not manufactured in Taiwan, they are made in Vietnam by a French-managed company with many years of subcontract experience for the 'big names'. The low cost of living here plus the fact that you are buying DIRECT from the manufacturer are the main reasons for our low prices. Not because of low quality.

I have read a review of the BC's here in South Africa. They were quoted as being made in Vietnam (as confirmed by the representative above :) ). The impression I got from the review is that the quality is good. The only caveat is that the sizes seem to be on the small size, so you may have to move up one BC size.

No personal experience, other than seeing them at the local dive show. Seemed well made for my 2c worth.

Cheers,

Andrew

Off the thread, Jack, but where in Viet Nam do you live, if I may ask?
