As I posted in a previous post; I am problably going to be purchasing a DC 1000 elite set to replace my melted DC500. Looking at SeaLife's web site, I see that they are offering a $50 rebate when you trade in an old SeaLife camera w/ housing. I was able to recover my old camera & housing after my house burned down. I still have the camera because I wanted to salvage the memory card, but I left the housing in the house which is long gone.
If someone has a DC500 housing that they haven't thown away yet (any condition) I would be interested.

Check ebay, just picked one up for $10 plus shipping.

Tell Sealife your story on their Manufacturer's forum here. Joes doesn't read all of these threads but he does those, and he may want to just authorize the discount without the housing.

I had the same idea approx 5 minutes after I started this thread. Joe spoke with the marketing director & said that I could return just the camera & they would still honor the rebate.
This is just one example of SeaLife's great customer service. They have always been good to me in the past, that's why I didn't even consider a different brand of camera for my replacement.
Now I need to get a hold of my LDS & see how close they can come to the price that I found online.
