Read the last chapter of a book to see what happens?

No, never!

My husband and I are going around and around about this. I like to know the end of a movie or book - then I can enjoy the trip to the end. No worries, concerns or stress. He says absolutely no way!!

What is your opinion?

Becky

I don't like to know. It ruins it for me, and I lose my interest. Usually when I read a book, the book needs a LOT to keep my interest. I wouldn't want to ruin it for myself. but hey, whatever rubs your buddha.

Personally, I like the suspense and discovering things the way the writer intended it. Imagine watching "The Sixth Sense" for the first time and already knowing the ending!

However, I do like reading books and watching movies more than once.

A book is crafted to be presented in a certain order. When you take it out of order, you lose a great deal of the enjoyment.

No way. Never. It ruins the whole suspense of the thing.

I like to know if a certain character survives the book. I read one book where the hero dies half way through the book. Sometimes I glance through the end to see who lives & dies. But I don't do that everytime even though it's enticing.

I cant read the last chapter of a book before reading most of it for one simple reason:

I dont understand it!

If you do that, why bother reading the rest of the book.....you know exactly what is going to happen

Gosh guys I am not going to let hubby see this thread - I may know what happens but I don't know how. Once again he was right (only he won't know) I am in a minority :D.

nope- i do however flash to the last page and read the last word or two...dunoo why though...or i'd flash a few chapters on to see if there are any other characters introduced etc, but i'd only actually read the book in order!
