That's me back in '78 on one of my first Niagara dives. Back when the paddle wheels were still intact, or at least one of them. I'm kicked back on the surface wearing my USD Caylpso horse collar with my mask on my forehead, smoking a cigarette. I'll have to go back into the archives and find a better photo as that one leaves a bit to be desired technically. I thought it might be a good one to put up for awhile so these know it all young'ins can see what a real diver looks like. Yep, back in the day before new fangled things like Spg's, octo's and jacket BC's. Back when there was real training. When you actully had to learn how to dive. Back when you put your mask on your fore head to take a break. You weren't in distress, because you knew where it was. A sign of distress was a diver with big eyes and flayling arms back then. I wonder what that means today? Appearently, todays distressed diver puts his mask on his or hers forehead. What's up with that?? These new guys must be suffering from the stuff the CIA sprayed on the pot fields. But I degress. Shoot, I'm my senilaty is showing again. Ha
