I hope you didn't misunderstand, you don't need a 4WD, you're just better off with a truck instead of a car. We had a 2WD truck for 2 weeks and never had a problem getting around.
Do you need a 4WD in Bonaire?

I agree, 4wd is not the issue, ground clearance and wheelbase are.

If the issue is that you don't drive a manual. It's not that hard, you can learn and then you would not have to pay the extra $$$$$. Find a friend who has a car with a manual transmission and ask them if they will help you. I learned when I was 16 so I know anyone can drive one. Just my .02
