Is it just me or do you guys have scuba dreams too. Last week I was so tired when I woke up because I spent all night lugging gear back and forth between the two dive spots that I will be diving on May 26 and 27. I couldn't find my dive partner and kept driving back and forth.

Last night I dreamed about doing artifact dives and found a ton of old bottles, statues and jewelry. My goody bags were over flowing with stuff. I found the coolest Pepsi bottle I have ever seen. After four and half hours my gauge still said 3000+ psi and I wasn't a bit tired. I wondered just how long the tank would last and if I would ever breathe it down! I was diving a submerged town. All the windows were blown out so it was easy to get in and out of places. All overhead diving with great vis. It was just the coolest dream. I was sad when the alarm went off at it ended my dive in a split second.

Sometimes I dream that I put on my gear and that I am able to do the things you can do underwater on land. It is kind of the Matrix meets scuba thing.

I like the dreams where I am actually diving, but many of them are just gear lugging. Sometimes I dream about doing things and working out things that I have had trouble with on a dive.

So is it just me or does scuba take over your thoughts as you sleep???

Several years ago when Bruce and I were dating I was sleeping at his house one afternoon (I worked nights) while he was at work. I was exhausted and sound asleep when the phone rang, I'm not sure what I was dreaming about and I was still in a dream state when I answered. It was a sales call of some type and I remember feeling frantic. I said, "You can't tie up this line I have divers in the water!" The salesperson said, "Is this a business line?" I'm starting to freak out believing I have divers in the water and this person is tying up the only way they can contact me in an emergency (basically I'm asleep yet semi-conscious). I start getting hysterical, "I have divers in the water and if something happens this line needs to be open!" I still remember how "on edge" and worried I felt and I kept saying that I had divers in the water over and over. The woman finally apologized and hung up. That's when I finally woke up and realized what had transpired...that woman must have thought I was a complete nut ball LOL! It made perfect sense to me at the time :D

lol, awesome Ber! I had a dream last night I was supposed to go on a weeklong diving trip but my buddy took a nap instead.

Both me and "Herself" have had dreams of floating over a lush, sunwashed reef.

Not scuba dreams, unfortunately, but sailing dreams I've had often. Waking up in the middle of the night, unable to feel the walls (because I'm at home in my big bed, and not in the small berth on the boat), jumping out of the bed and checking out of the window, to see if the boat is drifting! (and my apartment is several kilometers from the ocean)

But weren't you worried about NDL?!?!

...then they must be "wet dreams"?? ;)

Sweet Dreams!

I have them too, although my diving dreams are not frantic, they are peaceful and I am touring a reef without gear. I can breath underwater and everything is perfect. I have flying dreams, too. Without an airplane. I love these dreams when I have then and I don't get them nearly enough.
