BC service is $15 where I work. For that we will clean, condition, and leak check the
bladder. We will also visually inspect and leak check dump valves and inflator and dismantle and clean whatever needs cleaning. We've taken apart 3 inflators this week
that were sticking and cleaned them up. If anyone considers $15 to be too much for this service, we will gladly show you how to check your own. It's not what I would call a "scam" on the dive shops part.
