Just currious after the dream I had last night about diving.
It was kind of funny. I went to my LDS (in the dream) to do some bouyancy control and the instructor said why dive in the pool? You can come over to my house on the river and do some diving there.
Anyway the whole dream was about not having my own gear and trying to gear up from this and that and always missing something. When I finally thought I was all geared up, I didn't have my first stage reg. Talk about a frustrating dream.
Oh well tonight I guess I'll just go to bed geared up with my own gear. ;) I'm sure my wife will understand.

Are you currently in the process of buying stuff or just in training??? Maybe you have issues about your gear? Just trying to analyse.

The only dreams i have had about diving are all nice trips underwater, reliving what i dove recently or in the more distant past or about what trips are coming up, imagining. Some are more like daydreams as i just lay in bed, those are usually directly after diving all day - i relive the dives, close my eyes and i am there again floating along, some are actual dreams - however i wouldnt call them wet dreams ;)

I dream alot about at least several times a week....in fact can't remember a recent dream where water wasn't involved

I found this interesting. I have always had a lot of flying dreams, only it wasn't superman or bird type flying; it was more like floating.

When I finally dived for the first time it was like finally getting the chance to live that dream. Anyone have that experience?

Of course, now I dream about my reg leaking. Not as much fun. It all comes down to earth eventually.

I dream about diving, but my favorite dreams are the ones were I can breath underwater. What is even cooler is when I become aware of my dream.

You are not alone in ending flying dreams when you start diving. Jacques Cousteau related the same experience after perfecting the Aqualung---- and I went through it too. It's part of diving that non-divers never understand. Aint it Great??!!!

The days I don´t dive I usually dream about diving ... It is always nice dives in warm waters and good visibility.

However, on my diving trips I don´t dream at all ... maybe it is because I´m so tired of the divings I did in the day ...

Tired of diving after a day of it......quick someone, get the defog (better yet, sink the stink), this diver needs their mouth washed out with it! First rule of diving, you must not hold your breath, the second rule is like unto it, you must not tire of diving, it must consume your every thought throughout the day ;)

Here's my story:

When I was a kid (maybe 7 or 8 I would have this reoccurring dream that our basement was flooded right to the main floor. I would walk right down the stairs and my mom yelled at me that "I'll drowned or catch a death of a cold". I just smiled and continued down as the water crept up around my calves and thighs until I could push off from the stairs, down into the depths of the dark basement. No tanks, I could breathe just fine. I could hear my mom through the bubbles "Jeffrey! Wait till your father gets home!"

I'd swim around checking stuff out watching tropical fish, my toys drift by me...and the occasional cat all panicked. I'd swim around down there for hours laughing and breathing.

Now, whenever I go diving and my mom knows about it, she just says "be careful"

that's my two cents worth. : )

What I meant was that on my diving trips in the end of the day I´m physically so tired that when I go to bed I sleep and don´t dream with nothing at all ...

I´m never tired of the dives ... If I could I would sleep underwater ...
