Do we have a gas blending forum?

Unless im blind, I cant find a Nitrox or all incusive gas blending forum. So im gonna post her in the tech section.


I am looking for a glossery of acroynyms for all the terminology for easy reference.

Has anybody made one?

ie: fO2, fO2mix, pO2, Dfsw, fN2, fN2air, etc etc....and the list goes on.

fXXX is fraction of XXX
pXXX is partial pressure of XXX
Dfsw, I think, is Depth in feet of sea water
fO2mix and fN2air have got me stumped???

I know what they mean, yes but after having to do tonnes of research in several different places over time and through education.

Then I forget....I don't have them all and then some memorized

However, it would have been nice to have it one place.

I am reading the PDIC Nitrox manual and even though I am following along and doing the math exercises the don't define the abbreviations!!!!

So, in my quest for knowledge I am having to go go outside of the manual to find them
