Short answer "no", long answer "yes", and gbrandon, did you come on here looking for a fight?

No, not at all. But as I went through a few threads, it got old hearing the same "im right and your wrong" attitude. Now I know why I left for while. What did I post in this thread that makes you think I was looking for a argument?

If two people have different opinions doesn't it stand to reason that each would think the other is wrong?

If each thought the other was right that would mean that both were wrong on purpose.

I'm going to wake up tonight in a cold sweat with that going through my head.:icon10:

It's like the Calvin and Hobbes when Calvin's Dad explains to him how a point on the outside of a record moves faster then a point near the label even through they're both on the same record.

And both travel 360 deg in the same amount of time (same angular velocity)

What I found on here is just more people arguing the "Im right and your wrong and if you dont do it my way your looking for problems"
If they were saying "You're right, I'm wrong and I'm a big problem" they wouldn't be here. They'd be in a forum meant to help improve self esteem. And they definitely wouldn't be divers.

Risky activities tend to attract confident people. And, especially in this politically correct era we live in, it takes some self confidence to say "I think you're wrong."

Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong. I can take it. :mr_t:

Ok Grateful,

I'll go with the Sidemount. So anyway, I did four dives today and I thought that would be a positive thing to talk about. Diving. Hope everyone has a great weekend..My truck is all loaded. I'm back in the water at 0730 helping out with an OW class. I should get another four in on Saturday and four on sunday.
Take Care...

I havent been on this site in awhile. Been busy doing other things but have recently been diving again alot and was looking for follow up info on a Advance Nitrox class I just took.

"Im right and your wrong and if you dont do it my way your looking for problems"

One thread was on a pony bottle, another on smoking, and yet another on doubles configuration. Does it occur to any of you that if someone is comfortable with the setup they use and like that maybe its ok for them and what you use is ok for you? Its diving after all, not a planned trip to mars. Is it asking too much to post a message about what works good for you and why and let the reader decide the best course of action? I think people come on here either becuase they just like to hear themselves talk, or they like to argue. Or maybe both.

(but Its still the best Diving forum out there for info)

My 2 cents.

I was in on that pony thread. A few of us got "beat up" pretty bad :-) Anyway, despite the BS if you could "read through the lines" I think some positives came out of it, at least as far as I was concerned. I was forced to think about redundancy, buddy skills etc. and how it all comes together in a disaster scenario. If it helps one diver be a little safer then I say just roll with it................
