Without knowing your true average depth (how long at 30' in particular) and your exit pressure a SAC value can't be computed but anytime you can visit that dpeth and go past an hour on an AL-80 you're enjoying great novice diving IMO. Just keep diving. The deeper you go the faster you'll consume the air even with a consistent breathing pattern, it's the pressure that comes with depth. Bottom time is your friend, enjoy the 30' dives and you will be rewarded.

Going out on a limb just to give you a sense of a number.. You use 65 CF (exit with just under 600 PSI) and your down for 65 minutes meaning you use 1 CF per minute. For simplicty you do the dive at 33' (1 ATA deep, 2 ATA total) Your consuming .5 CFM at a surface rate (SAC) That's a very common rate. Of course you are not doing the whole dive at 33 feet and may exit with a little less but you may not even have a full 3000 PSI when you start so your actual SAC will be something else a little higher.

I'm also assuming that you're diving in cooler waters where you'll need more oxygen. If you dive in warmer waters, you'll be more comfortable, and your consumption rate will decrease.

What was your consumption at 60'? How long were you at 60' for? etc. That would help... But what you've written so far sounds reasonable (good).

You sound pretty good Hudson, when I dive with customers that are "air hogs" they usally are far worse than you. They *maybe* get 35-40mins @35'. But don't worry too much about it, just keep diving and relax and enjoy the dive.

Welcome to a great sport and safe diving!

25 to 35 ft avaridge proble at deapth 40 mins
cool water 50 to 65 degs F.
nothing above 69 deg
its in a quarry in wisconsin lake wazee avaridge viz 25 feet
when i read viz of 100 or more i jst think wow cant wait to dive in clear water

You may find you build better skills diving in low viz, like Nav skills for one and buddy skills as well. 100"+ viz is nice though no complaints here =).

This doesn't mean anything.
I'm generally warmer diving in cold water than in warm water because I dress appropriately. At the end of a day's diving in tropical water wearing just a t-shirt or a 3mm shorty, I come out feeling the cold.
Also in tropical waters, lightly equipped, I tend to move around much more and enjoy the freedom.
So I'd say quite the opposite.

You still didn't say what your consumption was at 60. :06:
