That's not really the intent of Equipment Specialist. You might get that out of the course but it's a unlikely. You should come out of the cours with enough knowledge to do some quick field repairs.
As far as servicing regs, even if you took a course on that I wouldn't recommend doing it unless you are willing and able to:
a) service enough regs to keep your skills honed and
b) pony up some serious cash for the right equipment.

TheRedHead:Equipment Specialist would be a class for me if it would teach me to work on my regulator. Being female, I've always been averse to taking things apart without instructions.
