Apparently Google has now decided that you have to have a Google+ page for keeping your youtube videos active. This one had a few thousand views, and unfortunately I'm not keeping two G+ pages and can't merge my accounts.
So, for all of those out there that want to know how to make your own suicide strap from a piece of bungee, here is a brief tutorial. Obviously length is going to be determined by the size of your neck, how low you want the second stage to hang, and how large the mouthpiece opening is, as well as how thick the bungee is *knot size*. I would recommend starting with at least 25-30 inches of bungee, and you can either clip the ends on the second knot, or tie a knot in the back so you can make it adjustable. You can also use these

They are called cord locks, and are what you see on croakies, bungee shoe laces, backpack slide adjusters, and some of the Dive Rite and Hollis wings with the bungee retention on them. You can probably also get them from Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Jo-ann Fabric, REI, etc. These are great if you don't want to attach the suicide strap permanently to a second stage regulator under the zip tie, rent gear, travel etc.

Again, my apologies for the posts that had the original video that now have the dead links in them
