Making and Diving last years Micro Scooter was fun but now its time to 'Man Up' ? and build an Extended Range model.
Size is no object - have got bit of a head start on this and have reached the mid point build - pic's and write up can be found here.
SubSurfaceTech - Scooter Extended Range
Nothing vastly different from the Micro build except a simplified gear train, uprated Motor, Batteries and likely some trick electronics to extend the run time ... oh and a new style display for motor temperature / battery voltage.
Currently it looks to be heading towards 12 - 14kg and standing 640mm tall with a single 20Ah battery, aiming for a modular build so adding a further 20Ah is likely to add ~200mm to the length.
