It seems to me that it would be prudent to assume the shop is pp blending and have tank hardware o2 clean just so that if you go to a new shop you are not going to have a problem. Is this sound logic? I guess it only really matters if you are using different shops for fills on a regular basis though. Lets see, there is the LDS, the the quary, then maybe an lds close to the boat. I suppose that if your using the same set of providers you can get to know them and their procedures.
Sorry for stating the obvious, just working out the cob-webs from the winter.

I know this, but for recreational mixes of Nitrox christolube isn't needed, but like you said in a earlier post - If the shop is doing partial pressure blending then o2 cleaning and christolube is nessessary.

Just thought I would point this out. terminology is very important in this area.

Oxygen Compatable: Means, the components themselves are compatable with Pure O2

Oxygen Clean: Means the components have been cleaned of contaminents for use with Pure O2.

Oxygen Service: Means the equipment has been built with components that are O2 compatable and have been assemebled and cleaned to make them Oxygen clean. The cleanings must be repeated at differing intervals to maintain the oxygen service rating.

Recreational nitrox mixes have nothing to to due with O2 cleaning standards. The only time this might be the case is tanks/valves in PP blending. In said case, those parts must be in Oxygen service. Outside of rec nitrox, (50/50, 80/20 and 100%) all should have the full system be in oxygen service (although many may not clean the reg for 50/50)
