Hi folks, I did a quick search, but didn't find anything. I purchased a Sartek 660CLED convertible canister light. It doesn't have a way to mount the canister to a harness. I talked with some folks at my LDS and they suggested that I get some stainless steel pipe clamps and webbing. When I purchased the items at a boating store, the salesman told me about galvanized corrosion would be a matter of time since I have stainless steel in contact with aluminum.

How are all of you getting around this? Would a simple piece of electrical/duct tape where the pipe clamps touch the canister suffice for the long run? I really don't want to have to take the clamps on and off after every dive.

TIA

You can use a piece of rubber from a bicycle tire inner tube to isolate both metals or tape or something non-conductive.

Thanks for the idea! I did a double layer and things seem good. I can't wait to give it a try.
