Folks, I am looking for a canister battery mounting suggestions. My UWLD 160wh battery is not exactly small and I prefer to mount it on the unit. Using JJ config as an example, I want to do something like depicted in the picture below.

What mounts should I use? Are small Kent Tooling or Metalsub brackets it? Also, what's the best way to approach this for a cave setup?

Thank you!

Unless Bobby puts a custom cable on, the cable will be too short in this orientation. The SM cable would be long enough though. You can just go crosswise on the stand instead if you have the top oriented cable.

I would put actual bungie loops on the legs of the stand then slide the canister though them. With a bolt snap to the stand as a backup

@rjack321 - you're right, all cable lengths will be custom. I saw Bobby the other weekend and he adjusted the cable length for the rEvo. The second one will be for the Meg. Is there an option to avoid the stand? I don't have a stand on the Meg and want the buoyancy center to be as high as possible.

With the cable pointed down? That seems dubious. Squashing the cable under the CCR can is going to be hard on that cable.
On my meg my light canister (UWLD 100 or 160wh) is on my right hip just behind the suit heater.

I don't use accessories to shift my center of buoyancy/gravity around. I have DSS weight plate and a weighted STA which moves lead up to counteract the buoyancy of the Meg's TOS counterlungs up on my shoulders. I don't know how heavy the 160wh can is but can't be more than about 1.5lbs negative in water.

@rjack321 - I was thinking mounting the canister on the right side close to the O2 bottle and use the light with a side gland to route the cable under my right armpit, across the chest, and to the left hand. that's what I do on a rEvo.

yeah the SM gland will be your friend. I didnt realize you had that until now
