I have inquiries out with a number of plastics fabricators...
What I hope to do is get a supplier for us..
I will do the CAD drawings, and send them to the best priced company... then hopefully we will have a source for pre-machind lids, cans etc. at a reasonable price.... These kits will be designed for at least 500 psi. and will be pre-drilled for switches, latches and strain reliefs and all o-rings The initial design will be for a 8 ah NiMh housing probably will be roughly the same size as a commercial canister. Maybe If the price is reasonable, we could do a similar thing with a light head, would be nice to have a
light "kit" available... heh even if it were just a threaded delrin tube a maglite head would thread onto...
:)

It may be more economical to have the basic canister machined "in the white", as it were. Leaving the mounting of switches, latches and such to the builder. Or depending on the size of the run, mabye not.

Certainly it's an idea worth investigation, DudeRasta.
