Heres a diy dive light with some very interesting new features.

http://www.pcmus.com/Dive-Photos/Dive-Light-DIY-SCUBA.htm

It uses a maglite for the light head, 50 watt halogen globe over driven to 16.8 volts with nimh batteries to give a huge 75 watts of light output thats also white and not yellow. Been taken to 40 meters and no leaks by multiple people who have built them.

Takes around 2 days to build and can be built for as little as us$100 !

im not good with working with my hands. cant even hook up the dvd to the tv better yet make my own light. seems like an interesting hassle. wish i could build it.
