I'm here now and I've done 2 shore dives to check my gear & a leg recovering from surgery then 3 X 2 tank trips and so far no wetsuit needed. My Mares gage showed 80 F in the shallows in front of Hotel Cozumel, but I'm not using it for diving so I'll have to download my computer to see what it has been at depth, but I'm quite comfortable in a bathing suit. This gets updated almost daily & starting tomorrow the view from the balcony will be very different.

I highly recommend wearing a wetsuit in Cozumel, especially if you have never experienced the currents there. Hydroids can be VERY painful experience in Cozumel. Should not need more that 3 mil full length suit or just a full length skin during the summer (for those who do not get cold easily).

Well, good point on the hydroids. I manage to get some diving commando every trip. I was fighting the current to get a pic of carpet anemone for Chace and kneed a hydroid. It *seems* they just give me a really cool dive rash without much pain or itch at all. That being said, it did look like it *should* hurt, so one should be careful.
