My wife and I visited Kona over the Xmas holidays... we selected to dive with Konaquatica, and we were very happy with our selection. Jim Holt runs a great operation, and has a great team of captains as well.
We dove 5 days with him, and he was always accommodating to our needs and requests - even a last minute 3 tank trip! Jim is very knowledgeable, and knows the Kona coast well. We never dove the same spot twice, and we never saw other divers either (mind you, this was Xmas!) - with the exception of the Manta dive, of course.
The boat only takes 6-8 divers per trip, and the deck is quite comfortable - divers were able to gear up and down without feeling crowded. As mentioned, Jim knows the area well, and took us to a few caves that were amazing - lots of things to see!
I would definitely recommend Jim and his operation if you are visiting Kona!
