hi! I'm curious about if a shunt for CSF diversion would prohibit diving. my one friend said it would but I can't find many definite answers on the internet. I may need one for intracranial hypertension.

@kaylee_ann I would recommend you pose that question to the neurosurgeon. If it's an internal VP shunt then there's no risk of water intrusion but there may be anatomic or positional challenges, and there's a theoretical concern about increasing your intracranial pressure with the increased CO2 retention that sometimes comes with diving.
