A couple of weeks ago, I returned from a dive trip to Truk (Chuuk) Lagoon.

Wreck divers and fans of the movies by explorer Jacques Cousteau, will know this was once the main Japanese naval base in the South Pacific. In February 1944 (79 years ago this month), the US staged a massive surprise air assault, code named ‘Operation Hailstone’. Hailstone lasted 2 days, resulting in >50 shipwrecks and 400 planes. The remoteness of the lagoon and little human intervention on the wrecks after the attack, make this arguably the worlds best wreck diving site.

During the trip, I was fortunate to collect >400GB of video footage. This video captures some of my favorite clips and locations in a short montage, I hope others enjoy watching some of these unique sites.
