The Wexford Diving out of Grand Bend.

Had a full day out with the NTD crowd to dive the Wexford. It was a perfect day for the trip out to the site. The water was flat and the sunny was high in the sky. Once on the wreck we found a layer of silt suspended within the thermo clime at 60ft to 70ft. It made for an interesting dive. The conditions provided a keen challenge for taking pictures. The charter service (Terry at Scuba Quest) was first class. I would like to get a couple more dives in on the wreck. There are a lot of places to poke about inside the wreck which I did not get to on this trip.

James,
How deep is this wreck. You said there is a thermocline at 60-70feet. How much further down is the wreck?

Here's a few more pictures. Can anyone guess the diver? Here's a clue. It isn't boogie912 :crafty:

Can anyone spot FinSolo?

The deck is around 55' and the bottom is around 80.

James if you wanna go again i'd come when i get back

Sounds like its a pretty good dive.... Is it hard booking a charter to go out ?? is it far off shore

It is easy to book. The trick is not to get blown out. According to Terry the operator. He has been blown off the lake a fair bit this past month.

Here is the contack info:

just on a side note, the viz while decending was amazing. You could see the divers on the wreck from like 5'.

Very nice pics, thanks.
Isn't FinSolo in the centre picture resting peacefully on the top of whatever it is? ;)
He is really getting a lot of diving, isn't he? :D
