What you will see

Use this map

Dive anywhere around the sites marked on the map. Go down the anchor line. If you cannot hold to the bottom, due to a fast current, bail out. Crab about the bottom and move up river. Move to the center of the river and look for gravel beds. Gravel beds are where you will find fossils, etc. Only bail out when you absolutely cannot hear a boat motor. The objective is to crab up river far enough that when you bail out you will surface upstream from the boat. Drift back to the boat. Take minimum two lights, scissors, razor line cutter. As a general rule, stay away from the banks because its alligator territory. Diving can be done with a jon boat with a good anchor. Local, and not so local, dive shops also make Cooper river runs.
