We dove Fox Brook today. There's a barrier of weeds essentially around the entire lake, so every entry and exit is complicated by them. Away from the shore, the lake drops off to nearly uniform 20 ft depth almost immediately. Anytime you're within 5 ft or so of the bottom, it's very mucky and visibility is almost zero; above there it's maybe 10 ft. My fish identification skills aren't great, but we found bunches of probably walleye at the edge of the weeds, and probably bluegill right near the suggested entry/exit point. A ranger stopped to talk with us and told us of a 42-inch Northern reputed to live in the southeastern portion of the lake, where the maximum depths reach 30-35 feet, but we didn't go that far to see for ourselves. Water temperature was around 76 at the surface and 70 or a little lower at depth.

I just started diving this year and live in Kenosha County. I have been out to Pearl Lake on several trips and hoping to move to Lake Michigan next summer.

I have been curious about Lake Geneva but haven’t had a lot of positive news.
