Who would use or being will to use software that would do calculations for anything you can think of. It would also have DCS treatment tables, Welding tables, NAUI, PADI, SSI, IANDT Tables. Salvage calculators. Dive Log fully customizable. The ultimate diving software.

Sounds great, but it should be directly compatible with all or almost all dive computers by selecting the appropriate driver.

Yes agreed and if it was would it be worth it to you?

Plus most tables are copyright which is why little or no software includes tables from different sources.

Things like salvage calculations are fairly easy without a computer but if it was to be of any real use software would have to run on a PDA and therefore be accesible on the boat.

I dont think it'd be that useful, all the information is out there already. There are proper deco planning programs such as V-planner etc, there are ones that do the other calculations, a plethora of dive log software. This seems a bit like reinventing the wheel.

I have worked out with a few of the companies to be able to use them;
the software is almost done.

the commercial diving version is done.

Excellent point! Without compatible device drivers (for nearly every popular dive computer), the software would be more trouble than it could possibly be worth. While I suppose that you could use a spreadsheet template, as an alternative; the "download/reformat/upload" effort would be cumbersome. Mac software compatibility would be an added bonus.

But imagine having all of it at your finger tips all in one place. It calc's your deco and everything.

Will it download from Suunto computers? Import options are important too.

Guys all of this stuff is in the making. Drivers are not an issues and yes it is going to be on pda's also. The commercial one is being demoed by some commercial diving companies as we speak.

Mac and Linux are also in the works.
