So, I thought I'd give a brief feedback on what I finally did.

I checked out Leisurepro's store. Btw, making a list from the online catalogue was a really good idea. They don't have that much on display in their little showroom and trying to find out what you'd like too see oniste, is rather difficult.

I bought some stuff, mainly special equipment that my LDS doesn't have in stock and that I wanted to have a look at before I bought it.

As for the company: If you're used to buying photo equipment in NYC, Leisurepro isn't all that different.

Didn't have time to ckeck out Village Divers, was on a thight schedule...

Thanks again to all the folks who came up with hints and tips for me.

Fan,

It's funny you should mention that because LP is owned by the same company that owns Adorama Camera shop. Which happens to be right downstairs below LP. It's a small world.

europeans on a short stay tend to like leisure pro because of the prices and the selection. i got some german friends coming and it ranks very high on their list of things to see and do. for the more tekkie stuff they go to village divers.

VillageDivers can get you anything you want... but what they have in store and in stock is also very limited... usually in 1 exemplar hung on the wall - basically you are getting a display/demo item.
