Matt Silvia and I are getting together to dive on Saturday 6/14. Anyone else interested?

Where: Cape Ann - aiming for Old Garden
When: 6/14, 11am @ rt128 Burger King

Profile: 2 dives, both Matt and I are diving wet. It's my first dive of the season, so rather conservative dives. Deco-drinks afterwards.

If the weather forecast can be trusted (which it probably can't), we're looking at cloudy and breezy with wind out of the northeast and a high tide at 11:43.

Looks like I'll be there with a couple friends. That OK? Would be cool to meet you guys :)

Here's the marine forecast from NOAA as of Fri 1pm
SAT
SE WIND 5 TO 10 KT. SEAS 4 TO 7 FT...MAINLY SWELL. AREAS OF MORNING FOG. SCATTERED SHOWERS AND TSTMS. VSBY AROUND 1 NM IN THE MORNING...IMPROVING IN THE AFTERNOON.

I think we'll be fine with Old Garden (NE exposure), but we've got to keep an eye on the thunderstorms.

Jon,
Glad you can make it. Could you PM me with a cell phone or AM home phone number in case the thunderstorms force a change of time?

Okay Jon and his buddies backed out.

Reefseal,

I think Matt was occupied Sunday and I already committed to work on Sunday. I think we'll end up getting some dives in tomorrow, but if we don't succeed and I manage to finagle something at work, I'll let you know.

Mer,

If you finagle getting of work and can go Sunday, let me know.
I'm pretty flexible for Sunday. High tide's around 12:30. Winds are going to be light 5 to 10 kts and from west however seas are 3 to 5 ft.

I went Tues eve and had a great dive. Anxious to get in again.

I sent you a PM w/ my contact info.

Luis

I don't know where you are getting your data, but NOAA says

SAT
N WIND 5 TO 10 KT. SEAS 3 TO 5 FT. RAIN LIKELY AND AREAS
OF FOG WITH VSBY AROUND 1 NM EARLY IN THE MORNING. A CHANCE OF RAIN
SHOWERS WITH VSBY AROUND 3 NM IN THE AFTERNOON.

I've been checking all day, and it never mentioned SE winds.

Weather.com says N wind@ 8mph.

Old Garden may not be the best site, though Gary and I are planning to be up there very early tomorrow.

I might be able to join you guys. This would be my first dive in MA this year.

Mike.

Soggy once bubbled...

All I know is that the 11am report said SE. I cut and paste directly from the noaa website.

Anyways- tis new england, mothernature will make up her mind to blow from some direction tomorrow.
Have some good dives!
