Hi,

Does anyone have any experiences with diving related volunteer opportunities in the Dallas area? Are there any?

Try your local aquarium. One time I was at an aquarium near Southport NC, just looking at the exhibits with my son, and started talking to a guy that worked there about diving. When he found out I was a dm he practically begged me to volunteer to help feed/clean. But I had to tell him I was visiting from out of state. I took from that that volunteers are needed pretty badly.

The aquarium in Fair Park has volunteer opportunities. The guy that ran the program used to be on Scubaboard but I haven’t been around a lot in the last several years so I don’t know if he still is. You could do a search though.

Edited to add: This is not Dallas World Aquarium in West End. They are a privately owned entity.
