Diving (Rawlings, Hampton Roads, Buddies, etc)

Hello everyone,

Certified last summer, haven't been diving this year at all. If anyone is looking for a buddy to hit Rawlings or some other spot drop me a line. Haven't been in the ocean yet, but am totally comfortable in the water. Other hobbies are mostly technical, computer/network guy by trade. Out of town weekend of Jul 22nd, but back in town Monday. No job for the time being, but when I get new job I will be limited to weekends I think. Live in Norfolk, VA.

I know the NC people get down to rawlings and your way more than we (well, me) do. Don't forget to check their forum. I'm still trying to find a weekend to get down there. I like rawlings.

Hi Ethan, I dive pretty often off the Va. Beach coast & even tho most of the time its to the deeper off shore sites Id be willing to hit a shallower site. Im assuming that youre OW cert. only.
I go to Rawlings a coulple times a year, but with gas prices & such (2 hrs trip each way)by the time all is said & done I can hit the Ocean cheaper. I live 10min from beach.
What LDS did you cert with. Not that it matters as I dive with both Lynnhaven & Dive Quarters about equal.
I am trying to hit the Morgan this weekend with Lynnhaven since I have a trip ticket for an off shore dive since we got blown out last Sunday. Then next weekend I will be with Dive Quarters for a weekend off the Eastern Shore diving the Marine Elcetric. But PM me when you plan a dive after that & Ill try to make it.

I will be hitting some Outer Banks beach dives in a couple of weeks. I just made a major shift in my job arangement and have some things to catch up on.

Hello, sorry for the post and run -- I thought I had the thread set to drop email notifications upon reply but I guess not! I'm back from New York City, and my gear is back from servicing as well... so life it good!

I was certified with Wreck Masters last summer. Open Water cert at this time. I'm "between jobs" myself, so can't plan my future schedule too well but am generally free weekends (and weekdays for the time being . Tons of job leads (I'm a computer/network guy and know lots of people) so I'm not sweating the job situation. I was planning to leave the other place, they just beat me to it with a round of layoffs.
