Hey everyone My family and I are heading to pepper beach at ft. Pierce and my wife and a guy I'm in school with want to dive the Spanish galleon that is there does anyone have any input if its accessible from the shore etc. any input would be greatly appreciated.

It's hard to find...There used to be a buoy on it but that long since gone away. My suggestion would be to enter the water at the northern most beach entry, swim out to the first reef. About midway start swimming due north. It's a long swim. Eventually for landmarks, you will see a large lot nested between the condos with a little house on it. The Urca de Lima is in that general localle

it's the Urca de Lima. You actually need to park at the Baumann Apartments (a little north of Pepper Park). You need to call the office and get permission to park ahead of time. It is a fairly short swim from the beach there.

You can dive at Pepper Park. Weather permitting, there is lots of sea life with sharks (nurse, bulls and sometime the hammerhead or tiger) and turtles being common. Lots of other odd creatures may turn up as well. the area has some good reef structure...most in 15-20 feet of water. It's a fun and easy dive site. I'm there fairly often.
