I've read all the great things about Beaufort diving, but we will be south of there around the Wilmington area. Can anyone recommend some dive sites and dive companies closeby?
P.S. - We are novice divers so nothing too hard :D

There are a lot of great dives in Wilmington. Check out www.aquaticsafaris.com and click on the charter page to see all the dive sites. The storm didn't mess too much up luckily, still 50 ft of vis. 18 miles out. The dive I would recommend is the Hyde and the Markham they have been loaded with sharks. This weekend we saw 6 sand tigers, a sandbar shark, and a nurse shark all at one time. A lot of the diving on those two sites can be done in the 60-70 ft. range around the decks, they're easy to navigate also.
