Has anybody done any shore diving on the bay side of Anna Maria Island? I was driving around this morning with my son and we came upon the City Pier Restaurant and the area. Looks great for snorkeling but was wondering if there is anything out there? When I do a Google map search, I can't tell if that is rocks or grass spots that I see. I imagine it's grass, but they certainly do look different from one another.

I've been there, and thought the same thing! I'm interested as to what is over in that area. I know there is a TON of fish! MAN!

Both times I've been there, I've seen pods of dolphins moving about.

I have no good information to give ya, other than, "YEAH! WHAT is there?" :)
