Have not logged into the board for a while. The Mikomoto Hammers will be the shop that 'should' have an English speaker during the high season. Take bullet train to Atami and transfer to the local train taking you to Izu-shimoda station. I find Mikomoto hit and miss and hope you will have lots of luck!

There are many other locations in Izu but less exciting. I love shark scramble in Chiba as well. Depending on exact dates, I can help figure something out.
We booked for a September dive with Mikomoto Hammers. They have been very responsive to my inquiries so I think we will be in good hands. Thank you!
 
I cannot wait to dive Mikomoto again someday. Hopefully at a time with more hammers because that looks magical.

I'm going in July. Super excited!! Only for one day unfortunately, they were booked up. But fingers crossed for some awesome dives
