Howdy folks! Was wondering if I could get a li'l local knowledge.

I might be out in Orlando over 4th July weekend, and was wondering what my best bet would be to get some diving in. I don't mind driving a bit to get to the diving.

What are some suggestions?

Someone out here (Colorado) suggested going to Tampa. How long of a drive is that, and what's the diving like on the Gulf side? (I dove in Largo this past Jan.)

Thanks!

Blue Springs is very close. I think I would rather dive West Palm Beach or Lantana than Tampa. About 2.5 hours south out of Orlando.

Daytona Beach and New Smyrna are also good places. About an hour to the north.

Thanks to both of you -- Wendy the Rampage looks pretty posh, but then again, diving on a Rolls? That's posh as well. :)

EErrrggggtttthhhhpppppfffffff!!!!!!!!!!

You can only stand that music on that site for so long .

I dove this one in Boynton and they were pretty cool.

(and no cheesy music on the site)

First, posh??? diving off a Rolls? I don't get it? I have dove off the Rampage, it is not what I would call posh.
Definitely not a luxury cruise liner.

Second, there is a volume control on most computers, as well as a mute which I keep on for most of the time just to block out all the annoying sounds and soundtracks online. If I want to hear something I turn it back on.
